Review: Clear Day Double Shotgun Speaker cable
Just wanted to offer my positive view on Clear Day speaker cables and a recommendation for Paul Laudati.
I found Paul’s cables to a great match for my system running between a Parasound Halo and PSB Stratus Goldis and center channel speaker, which are not overly analytic sounding. The Clear Day double shotguns bring out a lot more detail across the music spectrum than I had heard before. The most impressive thing to me is how well I can hear the different timbers of different instruments across the sound stage and with some depth. These are just more noticeable than my prior cables making it more enjoyable if you really want to listen.
I do also hear faster pace and musicality and found myself smiling more when I had the Clear Days in my rig vs my prior copper hose type cables. They are a very good improvement to my system and help to extend the life out of my speakers.
I listen to mostly jazz and my son listens to some form of pop/rock (Fallout Boy, Imagine Dragon) that young teens are into
Paul let me demo both the single shotguns and double shotguns as well as a single cable for my center channel. Amazing that Paul is so trusting and high class that he allows a significant $$ value in inventory to sit at my house for a month without even a deposit!
I found the single and double shotguns very close in sound to each other but ended up with a custom order of the doubles given the longer length I need.
Paul is a first class guy and makes these cables by hand – yes a hand made product that sounds fantastic, is of a simple and high quality build, and offers very good value. The cables are also very easy to deal with and position. Paul’s customer service level is the highest you can get IMO. Feel free to send any questions my way

Clear Day Cables – Transforming systems. Recent customer testimony
I would have to say that the double shotgun speaker cables literally transformed my system.
I now hear a clarity and speed that I have never experienced before with my speakers.
Vocals are lifelike and layered. Individual instruments stand out with a much better soundstage.
No matter what I throw at them, jazz, blues, symphony, rock, I end up with a smile on my face.
I had been thinking about going down the endless path of upgrading components, but now I’m happy with my system.
Thanks for saving me the time and money! You’ve been a pleasure to work with and I would recommend your cables to fellow listeners without hesitation!
All the best, John
Review from Canada
I first read about Clear Day Cables while doing searches on speaker cables at the Audio Asylum.
I’d never heard of them before but the reviews were overwhelmingly positive.
Because I’m out of country, I couldn’t take Paul up on his generous try before you buy program.
It was a bit of a gamble but I purchased a custom length of the Double Shotgun cables and a set of jumpers.
The price was incredibly reasonable so it wasn’t such a big risk.
The sound I’m getting from my system with these cables has improved in every way you can think of.
Soundstaging is improved as the image is practically seamless side to side and front to back with improved layering.
Bass is dramatically more powerful and well defined. Dynamics are improved in a big way.
Contrasts between loud and soft passages are dramatic with an increase in detail about everything in the recording but the sound is not etched.
In short, I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and Paul is a straight up guy who is very easy to deal with.
I don’t think you can go wrong with his cables.
Having a vintage McIntosh tube system (C22 and MC225) and almost exclusively playing vinyl I never put much thought into upgrading my interconnects and speaker cables.
After all, McIntosh suggested using zip cord up until the 80’s. So I was satisfied with some decent copper interconnects and Canare 4S11 speaker cable.
After reading recently about the Clear Day Double Shotgun speaker cables I got bit by the upgrade bug and decided to pull the trigger on a pair.
One word: WOW! I was astonished by the transformation the Shotguns made in my stereo.
All the cliches apply, like lifting a veil etc. The imaging was rock solid, the bass went deeper and cleaner, the midrange sounded as good as tubes, and vinyl should sound and the top end sparkled in both detail and clarity. Honestly, it was like going from a good CRT TV to a 4K flat screen.
Predictably, at this point, I just HAD to try the Clear day interconnects. It’s a no-brainer, the interconnects are built as well as the speaker cables and perform at the same level. I’m hearing music I’ve listened to for 20 years like I’m hearing it for the first time.
My stereo, which I always thought sounded damn good for a vintage system, now sounds better than ANY system I’ve heard.
Anybody who thinks that cables don’t really make a difference (or that you have to spend crazy money to get that kind of performance) needs to call Paul at Clear Day and take him up on his generous free trial offer. Don’t take just my word for it, read the reviews online.
All that being said, Paul is one of the nicest people I’ve dealt with in this business. Great products, reasonably priced and fantastic customer service. What more can you ask for?
Testimonial from Jason:
First is the product: Clear Day Single Shotgun Speaker cables. I am somewhat of a veteran in the audiophile world.
Over the years, I bought and sold gear, always moving up the food chain.
I ended up with Conrad Johnson Premier tube equipment. I then started having kids and there went my equipment.
The kids are grown now, and I recently started on the road again.
My current modest set up is Nuprime IDA8 D/A converter integrated amp, Dynaudio Excite X12 and just a laptop with Foobar 2000 playing FLACS.
After searching A’gon, I noticed testimonials for Clear Day silver wire. I never had silver in my system ever and wanted to try them out.
Under the recommendation of Paul, I demoed the single shotgun and needless to say, I bought a pair.
The difference to what I was using ($800/pair copper) was amazing as the highs became more extended but with absolutely no bite or hardness at all.
The mids, more detailed and the bass had more definition and just a bit more power.
I did feel the the overall soundscape was more detailed than before but I never felt floored by saying, “I never heard that before”.
The one word that I used over and over again is “PURE” as in “the sound is just so pure”.
All this for the price makes the cables one of the true gems in audio.
Second is the man: Paul
I read that he would give out demos w/o a deposit or anything that is true.
However, the aspect about Paul that is extremely rare is that he genuinely cares for his customer.
He could of recommended to me the doubles as he’ll make more money off me but he didn’t: he just wanted the best cable for my system and if that meant a cheaper cable, so be it.
In this day and age, you don’t see many companies trying to sell you something that they’ll make less money on.
Paul is always attentive to your needs, responds to emails right away and I even had a great conversation with him about his cables and what I was hearing from his cables.
I cannot recommend Paul enough as not only a businessman but just as a person. My only regret that he doesn’t have anything for me to buy.

Thanks a lot for making an interconnect cable for me and giving me plenty of time to compare it to my other cables.
When you told me that your interconnect was made out of silver my first thought was that it might make the highs sparkle a little too much as my system can easily become too bright.
I evaluate cables by listening to a lot of different music; hard rock, acoustic, female singers, jazz, solo piano. My test for brightness is always Zeppelin’s “Your time is gonna come”.
The keyboard in the first 20 seconds usually kills my ears. Remote in hand, I cued up the album with the volume set at my customary rock and roll level, and was fully prepared to quickly turn the volume down.
The keys were bright just as John Paul Jones intended, but they were uncharacteristically smooth and compelling, not too bright at all.
If I would have adjusted the volume it would have been up, not down.
Zeppelin’s “When the levee breaks” astonished me.
I’ve listened to that song hundreds of times but never before could I actually discern that indeed Bonham was playing his drums in a stairwell with the microphones placed far above him. Spooky. I also, for the first time, heard Plant’s harmonica as an entirely distinct instrument occupying its own space.
The Grateful Dead’s superb acoustic recording “Reckoning” was particularly astonishing.
Each instrument was reproduced extremely clearly and distinctly, within its own envelope, beyond and between the speakers which essentially disappeared.
I closed my eyes and could picture exactly where the musicians were sitting. I could even tell that Bill Kruetzman’s drum kit was placed behind and to the left of Garcia. I’ve never achieved such great sound stage depth as with your cable.
One more Paul and then I’ll shut up. Diana Krall, good God! Her “Live in Paris” album always gives me goose bumps but this time her voice was so beautiful and immediate it almost made me cry.
At several points, for the very first time, I could actually hear her breath and her vocal pauses.
I could go on and on but I’ll end with this. With your interconnect I’m now experiencing more realism, presence, sound stage width and depth, the sense that instruments occupy their own space, and resolution of tiny details than I have in my 30 years of being an audiophile.
Suffice to say that I’m very, very pleased with your cable and just as pleased to do business with such a fine gentleman as yourself.
Tim in Milwaukee 2017
I just wanted to report back to you on your speaker cables and jumpers.
First of all, the double shotgun replaced my Signal Cable silver resolution bi-wire and the Signal Cable is good for it’s price point, in my system at least.
However the difference your speaker cable makes is a revelation. I mean everything improved across the board, in every way possible.
Gobs more detail, a more natural tonal quality (i.e. less mechanical sounding, more like live music), image height/width/depth, improved highs/lows/midband, just much more like live music.
Now the jumpers…these replaced the standard jumpers that came with the speakers, and let me tell you I wasn’t expecting the difference that they make. It is astonishing, the sound is much more open and full.
The jumpers, for me, have to be the greatest improvement I’ve ever made for $50. I’m very happy.
Thank You Paul;
You have helped me so much with the transition from the world of solid state to the world of tubes; your shotgun silver wire cables really opened up the listening stage of my system.
It is rare to find such personable customer service that you have shown me, I feel I have not only purchased an excellent product from you but gained a friend in doing so. My speakers and ears are happy again!
Just wanted to relay a few thoughts and experiences.
Found that the detail of the Singles are shinning a light on the differences between my interconnect cables. Tried severals sets and they all exhibit noticable differences. Never been able to do that before your cables were installed.
Listening pleasure has been multiplied:
I’am hearing harmonic waves of sound bouncing between the speakers.
I’am finding I tend to stop breathing on breath taking passages.
I’am finding my heart stopping on those incrediable dynamic passages.
Heard a fly buzzing around my ear, looked nothing there, Low and Behold itwas in the recording. Got picked up by the microphone. (go figure in a classical recording)
Obviously I’m not a professional reviewer, but I am an audiophile of long standing, writing a review of speaker cables I readily purchased after hearing them in my system.
I read the many positive reviews of Clear Day Cables (Double Shotgun) and with the in home trial period, and the great reputation of Paul I went ahead.
I’ll try not to repeat the hyperbole (All true) of the other reviews, and let the reader know why I voted for the Clear Day Cables with my credit card.
I’m a member of The Los Angeles/Orange County Audio Society, and because we are the largest such organization in the country, we attract the owners of some of the biggest names in cable manufacturing as guest speakers. To a man, they all agreed upon the fact that pure silver wire is the ideal conductor for cables.
They all agree these silver cables are worth the higher price, and all deny silver cables can be somewhat “Strident” in many applications. I have tried several silver cables, and did indeed find them fatiguing.
The Clear Day Cables were not strident, but supremely musical. Every important parameter of the sound reproduced from my system was enhanced by my Clear Day Cables. J.C. aka: hifinutt
Jeff Hale on Double shotgun and jumpers:
Just to let you know, even though they are not burned in yet I am already very happy. The depth and neutrality at very low amplification is impressive. I have always had a soft spot for Transparent audio cable but could not afford their price tag. I’m hoping that with these it will be a moot point. If I could get the vintage Audio Research gear I desire I would be in Nirvana! I am running my Legacy’s with a Jolida 50W int. tube amp and the bass extension approaches solid state punch. I have about 5 hours on the spkr. cables and will let you know my thoughts after the 150 hours are in.
I was going to wait a couple more days before reporting back to you but what’s the point? I love them! Sonically, they’re pretty much everything I’ve read about them and probably more.
Big, open, transparent sound stage with a very smooth tonal balance; Very Smooth! Yet, they’re extended in both directions with lots of air on top providing all those little nuances and spatial cues that make good recordings sound so believable. These cables are being used in a second system in my exercise room with a Cary SLI-80 F1 all triode, tube integrated amp; about 40 wpc.
Your double-shotgun replaced some very expensive Siltech 770L speaker cables(we’re a dealer) that I borrowed from my main system. The Siltech’s easily cost more than 10 times what your cables sell for yet within a few hours of making the swap, I was already thinking how similar they sounded. Siltech uses pure silver too but somehow blends gold into the mix; leave it to the Swiss!
Now, a few days later, I’m convinced, they really do sound very much alike. I’ll probably pop the Siltech back in for a quick A/B(curiosity) but whatever sonic differences there may be, it really doesn’t matter cuz your cables sound so good!
Hello again Paul,
Hope you’re doing just fine. I am back w/ some more reliable feedback once the Clear Day double shotguns are totally run-in now. When I sent you my first impressions (always in my system) I put it this way:
1.”soundstage: small, to put it better, proportional, what makes it for a sound deprived of the wow effect and I like that. Mainly dealing with small to medium scale classical music. It favors a tidy approach avoiding the big sound that many times loses control in loud and in complex passages, not to mention mammoth guitars, pianos etc; ” Now I can easily say: my first impressions have proved to be right. Very Good.
2. “presentation: definitely not forward, neither too laid back: third, fourth row: very good compromise. Not lightning fast, but never slow: good and refined pace that takes a bit its time;” Again, those impressions have not changed. Very Good.
3. “image: I suppose as they run in the image will get better and more 3d: the best feature of the cables I could notice up to now: in a word: outstanding! ” Yes, they image nicely in my system w/ a great focus. Best feature? Perhaps. Outstanding.
4. “resolution: when silver cables don’t go the aggressive way like these, they normally tend to be a tad bland, a tad too smooth in my experience. It affects resolution: it is a tradeoff (we know very well the price of laser like accuracy or, rather, our ears know). But for the dsg it is a very small effect though I don’t think running in will improve in this area”; Those comments are a tad out of the mark. No, they are not too smooth, neither too bland. They somehow succeed in conciliating clarity w/ warmth! Good job. Very Good.
5. “tonality: again nice choice. A bit on the warm side. Marvelous, creamy midrange and pleasant highs that are never aggressive though you could want them to be airier. Lows prevails a bit and are reasonably articulate though you could want them be deeper (should check that bass depth better though: not sure).” Nope! That was out: it wasn’t the SCs that were a bit bass shy, it was my previous source. Bass now are OK w/ changes in my rig. As a matter of fact, the bass is one of the strong points of those cables. Highs are OK too mainly considering the clarity they reveal and the inherent risk of some glare that, BTW, is non-existent! Very Good.
Hope you can confirm many of those findings, but as we know every system & room sound different! Anyway, I am a satisfied consumer: they are n. 1 now and are running as I type this. That’s what matters!
Below is my summary of the sound of your cables on my system. My previous cables were silver plated, multi-gauge, Teflon insulated OFC with spiral conductor construction. Nice cables from a German company, considered to have a pretty good sound quality by fellow audiophiles locally when I got them. Undoubtedly lower resistance and inductance than yours, but….. now:
Now significantly wider, deeper, taller. Significantly more air, space, and 3D dimensionality. Images have more body, and roundness. No change in forwardness of music; just fine. Transparency & Resolution: Now significantly more transparent, better resolution of fine and low level details. Hearing things that were not there before, or were previously blurred into the floor of the music.
Better extension, more delicacy, finesse, more natural sounding, without any brightness, etch, or harshness. Smoother. Cymbals sound more like real metal.
Bass is stronger, more defined, precise, and having a full and dimensional sound. The “slam” factor is decidedly greater where appropriate, and almost amazing on some recordings.
Dynamics & pace: System sounds significantly quicker, more agile, more alive with macro and micro dynamic resolution. A surprising improvement in this area.
The improvements above almost make it seem that my system has had a minor shot of steroids. No change that I have made in some years has resulted in this magnitude of improvement, which has been even better than the switch I made to the McCormack DNA125 amplifier from a modified B&K ST140. I am not very familiar with the sound of competing cables in the $400.00 price range, but it is hard to believe that something else out there could be better, or even equal to what I am hearing.
Very fine cables…. they quickly disprove the idea that wire all sounds the same (!). I actually heard a difference as soon as I hooked them up, and they kept getting better and better.
In my 27 years as a ‘phile, I have never experienced the quality of service Paul provides. Simply astonishing. Paul was insistent, no, adamant, that the “fit” between his products and my system be right.
And after tasting virtually the entirety of the Clear Day range, I settled on Paul’s Singles and Shotgun for my two systems, one Lowther-based and the other based upon the newish Decware Radials.
Without indulging in too much audiospeak, as I’ve already suggested, his cables, in my systems, were simply “right.” With my Lowthers, Paul’s Singles made my system disappear with utter transparency, surprisingly deep bass, a warm midrange, and silky, detailed treble . . . a combination of attributes sorely missing from my long-term, much more expensive, and now former cables.
Soundstage and detail too was there in spades, rendering a grand illusion where the recording provided for it, and an intimate rendering as appropriate to the source material. But here’s the kicker . . . I had initially sampled Paul’s Shotguns with my Lowthers and was sold. Loved ’em.
Before concluding the deal, however, Paul insisted I try his Singles with my Lowthers. His intuition was right on the money, as, in my system, the Singles trumped the Shotguns in naturalness, truth of timbre, whatever you want to call it.
I knew I’d reached the tipping point with the Singles when casual listening from a distant room kept beckoning me back to my listening room for another “fix.” I couldn’t bear, however, to part with the Shotguns, so I’ll be using them with my Decware Radials in a second system.
The long and short of it, in the audiophile world, I doubt I will ever again experience the quality of service Paul provided. Yeah, there are a lot of speaker cables out there for the tasting. Most at insane prices. These are honest, utterly transparent, fine-sounding cables at a marvelously sane price point.
For those in the market, they’d be insane not to deal with you Paul. My experience was that good. I couldn’t be more pleased, and thank you, muchly.
“As someone with several SET amps (45.2A3, 300B), I had been curious about introducing Silver cables into the mix. I’ve heard from several sources that silver is very compatible with SET systems. I started out doing some basic on-line research and read some good things about Clear Day Cables.
After contacting Paul I felt even more at ease. There was no hard sell with this product. He offered to send out some no-obligation demo cables to audition.
The speaker cables arrived quickly and it was pretty apparent that they did a better job representing music than my Goertz MI-2’s. Overall there was better high end definition with a bit of added warmth. Given the improvement with the speaker cable, I asked Paul if he had any Silver I/C’s to try out. Within a week he shipped me out a pair he was using in his own system.
To be honest, I was not expecting a big change with the I/C’s. I was very surprised when the I/C’s provided a bigger improvement than the speaker cables. The sense of presence improved markedly. Listening to my blue note Jazz recordings was almost eerie. I felt like I was in the studio with the musicians. Even better, this was accomplished without making anything sound “Hi-Fi”. Everything sounded very natural.
In the end, I swapped out my much more expensive Harmonic Tech I/C for the Clear Day’s. I strongly recommend that fellow audiophiles audition the Clear Day speaker cables and I/C’s. I don’t see any down side.
First, you get plenty of time to audition the product in your own system. If you don’t like them you can send them back. Second, if you decide to purchase them you still have up to another thirty days to send the product back for a refund.
On top of all that, the product is very sensibly priced. We need more people like Paul in hobby,
I came across Clear Day cables through Audiogon and various positive reviews on the typical Audio forums. I had recently had the full Magnestand mods completed on my MMGs and they sound fantastic. However, I was looking for a touch more air and sparkle in the top end without compromising any of the warmth and sweetness in my system and figured that Paul’s silver solid core speaker cables might be the answer.
I emailed Paul asking for his recommendations on which of his various cables would work for my system (Bryston BDA-1 DAC, Krell 400xi integrated, Magnestand MMGs, Signal Cable wiring), and received a prompt response with an offer to demo the shotgun and double shotgun cables. Along the way, he also offered a demo of the Hologram interconnects.
At all times, Paul was courteous and a true gentleman to deal with, and at no time was there any sales pressure. Paul explicitly mentioned several times that whether the cables work will depend on system synergy so the best way is to simply try the cables to see if I liked them.
The cables arrived promptly. The build quality of the speaker cables are excellent, and because they are thin and relatively flexible cables, connecting them to my gear was so simple and it was a refreshing change from having to wrestle with garden hose like cables that I had previously tried.
In terms of how the cables sound, they gave me what I was after. All the cables have great extensions at both ends, but compared to my current system, imparted a bit more transparency and air without making the overall sound too lean. In fact, the cables that I liked the best were the shotguns, but I could have happily lived with either the double shotguns or the Holograms.
I haven’t tried any truly expensive cables so can’t provide any comparisons in that regard. All I can say is that in my system, these cables are simply great, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. Combined with Paul’s professionalism and no-pressure demo, it’s simply a no brainer to give theseexcellent cables a try.
Model: Shotgun speaker cable
Suggested Retail Price: $240
My name is Tom Noles, and I purchased an 8ft pair of Clear Day Shotgun cables from Paul.
As a note, I would like to suggest to anyone considering the purchase of a class ‘D’ amp to use a pair of these shotgun cables and let them both break in together.
For many years I was a tube guy. Recently I purchased some Bel Canto electronics and was not totally sold on them until I matched them with your Shotguns. I agree with the testimonials given about your product. I think you have developed something special and could have easily gotten greedy with it. You have given us average Joes a means to great audio.
3) Hello Paul,
Just want to tell you how much I am enjoying your cabling. I recently purchased a Decware Super Zen with a full 2 wpc tube integrated and paired it with my Tekton Lores and a front end consisting of a Wyred4sound DAC1 joined together by your cables.
WOW, Paul I am playing in this hoppy for better than 35 years and don’t see how it can get much better, it is purely magical and your cables are playing a major role in the performance. Who would ever think it, 2 watts!!! The only thing left to ponder is my RCA interconnect, Can you offer any suggestions?
Anyway, on a more important note I hope that all is well with you and your business, Lord knows that you are providing a valuable service by bringing honest Joy to your brothers and sisters and may God Bless you (which he already has).
Peter Casalino, 6/14/15
2) Hi Paul,
Please add this to your testimonial page: As a former High-End Audio Dealer I had the opportunity to listen to a great deal of well known and obscure cables in many systems and applications.
With my current system I was looking for a suitable speaker cable without spending a bloody fortune and I auditioned many very well known brands.
I recently placed a 3K pair of speaker cables ( Silver Cables ) into my system on loan that sounded very good indeed, then I was lucky enough to audition a pair of Clear Day Cables from Paul before I purchased them.
Upon installation and settling in I could not believe the difference in sound, the Clear Day cables CRUSHED the 3K cable.
I was hearing things in my system I had not heard before, amazing detail, balance, immediacy, and MUSIC they way it was meant be heard.
Paul is an expert in that he was the only cable manufacturer I could call that asked what system I had, speaker sensitivity, topologies etc, try this with others and see what happens.
Paul is not only an expert but he is one of the most professional people I have ever deal with in High-End Audio, you could not ask for a better person to deal with, and I have dealt with many over the years.
Before you go out and buy into the cable marketing hype so prevalent in this hobby today I would strongly suggest that you call Paul and buy his cables, you will not be disappointed.
My highest recommendation!!
1)Just a post to thank you again for the usually outstanding customer service as well as the great cables. I have not experienced your kind of giving, patient and customized service levels almost ever. Allowing me to trial two different pairs plus the single without even a deposit really allowed me to hear your cables vs others (and between the two different Clear Day pairs) and convince myself to go ahead with the custom length order. Every piece of advise you offered along the way turned out to be accurate. I appreciated that you tried to understand my rig & speakers and which of your cables work best. They are currently in the rig settling in but already sound great.
For others reading this, I found Paul’s cables to a great match for my system running between a Parasound Halo and PSB Stratus Goldi and center channel speakers, which are not overly analytic sounding. The Clear Day double shotguns bring out a lot more detail across the music spectrum. The most impressive thing to me is how well I can hear the different timbers of different instruments across the sound stage and with some depth. These are just more noticeable than my prior cables making it more enjoyable if you really want to listen. I do hear good/faster pace and musicality and found myself smiling more when I had the Clear Days on vs my prior copper hose type cables. They are a very good improvement to my system and get extended life out of my speakers
Paul is a first class guy and makes these cables by hand – yes a hand made product that sounds fantastic, is of a simply and high quality build and offers very good value. The cables are also very easy to deal with and position.
Paul – Again my thanks and feel free to send anyone my way to discuss your cables and excellent service.
I recently purchased my dream system from scratch. I’ve been saving up and studying since 1986 for this purchase, so I wanted it to be just right. I mostly listen to lossless digital audio ripped from CDs, but have recently been experimenting with 96/24 digital sound as well. My equipment includes a Bryston BDA-1 D/A converter, McIntosh C220 preamp, 2x McIntosh MC2102 amps (used in parallel mono mode), and B&W 803D speakers.
The dealer sold me Tributaries XLR interconnects and speaker wire (unterminated), both silver based. Since I’m 100% digital, I can use all the sweetness I can get, and I just don’t have the patience or space for vinyl.
I live above my company’s headquarters, and I have several employees that have participated in my system selection, setup, and tweaking. It helps to have second opinions. Also, my wife and son use the system daily for music, television, and video game use.
Since I purchased the system, I’ve made many tweaks, including a lot of room work, speaker placement, and completely replacing the tubes in the McIntosh equipment with a tube set recommend by and purchased from Jim McShane, who had been recommended to me on internet audio sites.
The system has steadily progressed with each tweak and upgrade, as verified by my tastes, my family, and my employees. I even went out on a limb and purchased a Shunyata power distribution unit and replacement power cords on the recommendation of internet reviews and recommendations, and was quite pleased with that upgrade.
My most recent tweak, however, was really the most impressive. Again on Internet recommendation I requested a demo pair of Clear Day Double Shotgun speaker cables. I was immediately impressed! I made the replacement when my wife was out of the house, and when she came in later she said “The music sounds bigger than before” which articulates the improvement very well. The sense of space and detail was greatly improved, as if the fog had cleared!
Needless to say, I ordered a pair of my own. In fact, I was so happy I ordered two pair for bi-wiring. All communications and interaction with Paul at Clear Day has been simple, easy and stress free. He even allowed me to keep the demo pair until my cables came in, which saved me a few days of listening to the original speaker wires. 🙂
I’ve now budgeted for two pair of Paul’s Hologram XLR interconnects to replace the original Tributary units. Paul, unfortunately, doesn’t have demos of these available, but now that I’ve worked with him this is really not a concern for me. Paul makes great cables that make my system sound better. Who needs a demo once you know that?
Greetings Paul…… I figured it was beyond due time to give you an update about my use of your awesome Clear Day Double Shotgun cables with my Vincent tube amp and Golden Ear Triton Ones.
Wonderful doesn’t even begin to describe how well these cables integrate with my system. Because of my current living situation, I am somewhat limited as to how long or often I can play my outfit, but suffice it to say these cables worked like a charm right out of the box.
I have even noticed a further lush sweetness and clarity of sound as they continue to burn in. The reviews of this product were obviously spot on, and the prices you ask for your product put them in the “Bargain of the Century” category, IMHO.
The best part of this whole experience is, by far, the care, consideration, genuine concern you have shown me during this entire process.
I am truly honored to have made your acquaintance, even if only online, because your authenticity is a refreshing change….In short, you are a wonderful person.
will heartily recommend your products to anyone who may be in need of them for their systems, regardless of how they are set up. May God truly bless and keep you, and I wish you the greatest success in all your business endeavors! One very satisfied customer!
Thanks so much for the cables. I appreciate the great service – you kept me in the loop, letting me know when they were shipped and when to expect them.
Most of all, though, thanks for the excellent cables. I’ve tried many different cables over the years and I always come back to Clear Day double shotguns.
I’ve used them with SET amps, high powered solid state amps, integrateds, etc., and they always sound beautiful.
Thanks for everything and I’ll be in touch the next time I need a set of speaker cables.
All the best
